Went during weekday for dinner. Rather quiet, only 3 tables are occupied. Food was rather disappointing. Risotto is dry, and the fish is tiny. The only food that saved the meal was the Brussels sprout. Servers service was good and attentive.
Came for dinner on a weekday. The place was not crowded and service was great! Servers were friendly and helpful. The food was tasty but nothing in particular stood out. The beef cheek was soft but a bit dry, and the risotto was more like a paella. The brussel sprouts were tasty! The rest of the dishes were only okay. This is a nice place to explore if you are in the area but not sure if I would revisit specifically for the food.
Recently visited, the food was delicious! The atmosphere was cozy with dim light. The staff was friendly and attentive. We ordered plenty of food for sharing. We did not try their desserts, quite limited choices.
Set lunch was good and service was fast. Not too crowded on weekday lunch time. The barramundi was fresh, went well with the sauce and basmati rice.
Pricing slightly on the high side.
Tried the Christmas course menu which starts with a pumpkin soup and bruschetta. There were some pumpkin seeds in the soup, which added a pleasant texture to an otherwise powdery soup.
Had the salmon crostini which was okay. Also tried the barramundi which was a good size and tasted great, and beef cheeks which reminded me of a more Asian style of cooking (stewed, fully cooked, pull apart texture). Finally had the puff pastry for dessert which turned out to be like a crispy biscuit.
Highlight was the free flow drinks which came with the course menu.
It’s an open-air gastrobar with chill vibes, yummy bites, and nice drinks. Dress lightly as it can get warm inside. Look out promotions on their drinks with new membership sign-ups.
Tried the Seafood Risotto ($26++)
I felt that the risotto was very well seasoned and creamy.
The bonito flakes were a nice touch - I ate my way in from the outermost regions 😆
The seafood was rather generous, but overall it wasn't very filling. Adding sausages was a nice touch and gave some additional flavour and texture to the dish.
The current presentation and sizing pales in comparison to what they used to serve several years ago though, if you scroll through older reviews.
Would say this really isn't very value-for-money, but if you are unable to decide on what to eat (they do have a really limited menu though), no harm ordering what is a popular dish here!
Not to mention, they had a free glass of wine/beer if you sign up as a new member!
That being said, I think there might be some privacy and safety concerns that ought to be addressed here. The waitress took our phones to the counter for a long time to reward us with our free drink. Perhaps something could be done to expedite this process to give diners a peace of mind.
Had the set lunch special - great options for lunch. Enjoyed the small plates and the mains - extremely delicious. The corn soup was nice and rich, the prawn bisque linguine was well done, taste was very balanced and the prawn was super fresh! The scallops were also well cooked and extremely fresh and tasty. Salmon was yummy too! Pretty much, everything was good and would go back again to try the dinner menu!
